Procurement And Supply Chain Management
Michael has 20 years of professional experience with 14+ years of experience in high-tech;
including Procurement, Sourcing, business process development and implementation,
optimizing operations, managing large projects, customer/supplier contract negotiations,
outsourcing, off-shoring, telecommunications and software. He is currently working as a
consultant, and on 2 start-up businesses.
He worked for Perot Systems from 2004 - February of 2007 where his responsibilities
included: Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) duties, globalizing the Procurement team;
managing a team of 40 through the roll out of centralized procurement to India, Mexico,
Europe and the Philippines; all HR and hiring activities, budget, driving customer care and
savings initiatives (resulted in more than $50M in savings over 2 years) and creating a BPO
Procurement offering. While at Telcordia from 1999 through 2004, Michael worked on
Wireless Number Portability and Next Generation Networking (Voice over IP) moving projects
from sale through implementation and customer management during lifecycle.
Michael worked at AT&T Solutions from 1995 through 1999 where he built the Procurement
program for the Textron Account and managed a team that drove service delivery
improvement in procurement across Solutions and all of its customers. He also worked on
several new business pursuits, closed significant add-on business, and documented the
Solution's sales process.
Prior to beginning his career in high-tech, Michael owned and operated a general contracting
business for 9 years, and completed his Master's Degree in Planning.
